Beginner Watercolor Workshop

In this hands on introduction to watercolor painting, students will be introduced to basic techniques. Designed for those who have no experience in art or painting the focus will be to become comfortable with the techniques as well as enjoying the process. Painting has many personal benefits like reducing stress and self expresstion. Supplies are included.

This Workshop starts Friday evening with a reception to meet the instructor. Class runs 9am-4pm Saturday with a break for lunch. Sunday class is 10am-3pm. Registration fee is $130.

Painting With Expression

Focus will be on expressing your point of view through your art. Students are to bring 6-10 examples of recent work for a private consultation. Encouraged to set goals for developing individual content and style. Bring source material workshop time is for creating new work. This is not a technique class. Advanced student level.

This Workshop starts Thursday evening with a reception to meet the instuctor. Class runs 9am-4pm Friday and Saturday.
Sunday class is 10am-3pm.
Registration fee is $150.
About the Instructors

Bobbi Dubbins is a self taught watercolorist from the Cumberland area. She teaches classes in watercolor and drawing specializing in beginner watercolor. Feeling strongly that art should be an avenue of self-descovery and self-expression her workshop is ideal for beginners. "Painting is an enjoyable way to relax and relieve stress. " 

Bobbi has won numerous awards. She is a member of the Western Maryland Watercolor Society, the Allegeny Arts Council, the Allegeny Area Arts Alliance and the Hampshire County Arts Council.


Liz Hackney became interested in art at a young age taking art classes through high school and college. She has been painting in watercolor for over twenty years.First studing with Lassie Corbet in Herdon, VA. She continues to take workshops with nationally known instructors like Alex Powers and Don Andrews.
